I would say I was shocked, but you have to remember two things. First, this is the same organization that restricts its most talented and popular athelets into a state of equitable servitude to the point that if they win a championship with a national team, they cannot be in any team photo that might be considered promotional--See, any wheaties box with an olympic team on it.
Second, these are academics. While they run a multi-billion business, they are just academics. It is embarassing when you actually look at what they do closely. They are trying to simply social engineer through sports. They do very little that shocks me anymore. Personally, I think they are going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg with this sort of thing.
