After the bombings in London there has been a lot of talk recently over what it means to be British and what exactly defines Britishness.

Was reading the paper centre-spread the other day, and again this morning, thought you might like to see how some people define themselves. And a few other articles as well.

But in all seriousness, I think all of these stereotypes are a big part of what make Brits, Brits. Big Ben, the accents, driving on the left side of the road... it is these neat differences that set them apart from other nationalities.

As a myopic little American, I'd say Britishness is (aside from simply residing in Britain, of course) tea-time, funny little accents, great music history, and lots of damn good comedy :P. I'm OK with a bit of oversimplification .
