    As much as I'm not a fan of this paper, such science must be mentioned. Titled:

    Official: drinking improves thinking

    Now I admit, most of the scientists in charge of this 'research' are probably lushes.

    No shit. What's a standard drink? Cause... our definitions might vary. And I wonder if that is taking into account binge drinkers who guzzle their 14-28 'standard' drinks in one night of the week and then won't drink till the next weekend.

    The Australian government judges a standard drink to be 10 grams of alcohol, which is about 1 glass of beer or 1 nip of spirits. A bottle of beer or glass of wine is about 1.5 standard drinks.
