How about make a smaller goal and no longer allow the goalie to use his hands? Hell. I don't know, something. I was the captain of my high school soccer team, and I loved playing it. It is just boring as hell to watch.

The problem is that scoring is way too hard in soccer. It doesn't just make it boring, it makes it far too prone to flukes.

If a team in football scores a TD with a hail mary, that's really not too big of a deal. You can recover. If some crappy hitter in baseball (maybe a utility outfielder) just happens to hit the ball right on the sweet spot of the bat and it goes yard, no big deal. Scoring isn't so hard that you cannot recover.

But in a tight game, one lucky bounce and a team wins? That sucks.
