Lance Armstrong is hands down my athlete of the Century.

There is -no- competitor more dominant in his sport. A man destroying this race 7 times in a row is simply the most impressive feat in sports history, imho.

Very, very few mortal beings could ever hope to achieve the level of endurance and physical conditioning he has. The man is literally a machine.....

The fact that so many biking fanatics, especially french, have boo'd and thrown water bottles and trash into his path in races is utterly disgusting. I am all in favor of fan intimidation and heckling even in sports. But literally creating obstacles and assaulting ANY athlete is far out of line.


I hope (and think) he will race again. I hope he wins 7 more Tours. I hope that pieces of gravel get kicked up and blind any french assholes that start throwing shit at him mid race. I hope that any sadly pathetic attempts to wall him off in crowds at the start of the race cause the assholes to crash and severe vital tendons.

I hate poor sports. Time and time again, in MANY sports the French have shown their lack of sportsman ship.

Lance should declare himself emperor of bicycle racing and revoke the rights of France to ever hold an international race again.
