The Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty

This is a very interesting article about the decline of the Yankees over the last few years.

Epilogue: 'The Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty'

Editor's note: "The Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty," published by Harper Collins, is now available in paperback and can be ordered by clicking here. The following is an excerpt from the book's new epilogue, which picks up the story following the Yankees' 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks in Game 7 of the 2001 World Series, the last game played in pinstripes for Paul O'Neill, Scott Brosius and Chuck Knoblauch.
Even Yankee fans will probably find this article an intriguing read.
Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my Uncle Jack off a horse." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse."

There is never a good time for lazy writing!

Even though they are just one step from the basement floor in their division early this season there are sports reporters out there still talking about how they will be dominant this season. They are sitting at .400 and 7.5 games back. It is a long season, but it definitely looks like the dynasty is definitely over. Since they have a huge market and tons of big names on the roster we're going to be hearing about them from sports reporters non-stop, whether they deserve the attention or not. They will always be a media dynasty if nothing else.
"Believe it or not, I'm a complete catch."

The Yanks are now tied for last with the Devil Rays.

This is what happens when MLB tightens up on roid control. The commission feeds the public a fistful of minor leaguers and a few no-name pros to prove "the restrictions obviously work". Meanwhile, all the pros are hustling to clean their systems of the banned substances and stop intake, resulting in a massive loss of offensive oomph almost overnight.

Congratulations, Yankees! You are now the most expensive last place team in history!

    Woo!
