Ok, the total pool was $175.00. I'm going to throw an extra $25 into the pool to make it a nice round number that also makes for nice sized prizes. That brings the total pool to $200.00

Since we have a tie for first, those two people will split the combined 1st and 2nd place prizes.

1st Place: 50% of the total pool
2nd Place: 25% of the total pool
3rd Place: 15% of the total pool

Other Fun Prizes: 10% of the total pool

Gadiantor and Aelyn: $75 each.
Isaviel: $50.

Other???? Let's hear some suggestions for booby prizes. There is $20 up for grabs.

Finally, what did you think of this year's scoring system?

This was the first bracket pool I've ever been in, so I can't really comment on the scoring system in comparison to other systems. The points going up so much at the end really made it a competition on who could pick the two final teams (which I did by the way ). Had Aelyn not hired a voodoo priestess (it's the doll thing you know) to influence the outcome of the game I'd have won by a huge margin. If the goal is to get the final team or two right the system works great, but I wonder if it would be better to reward people more for making good picks in earlier rounds...what do I know, I'm new to this.

Maybe Dee should get the Booby prize for going into the final four without a single team left? Or maybe the extra money could go to fourth place? Or maybe Wrent deserves the money for not being DFL (for a change )

Whoa! I didn't realize it was over. I went away this weekend and came back to the registration claim and started to freak out thinking Shit did I write a check I forgot about! I wouldn't claim it until I read the thread. hehehe
