Helmet-to-helmet tackles are generally big no-no's, but I don't believe you get penalized for it unless you hit the QB with one. However the NFL does certainly fine you for helmet-to-helmet hits, so it's generally not a good idea to try one.Originally posted by Jarkis

Tackling. We can tackle from below the shoulders on in rugby, and anything above is considered a high-tackle and a foul. What about Football? You guys have rules when tackling?
You also cannot tackle someone by grabbing on their face-mask. Doing so nets you a 15 yard penalty if you pull the person down by using his face-mask. There's also a lesser 5-yard face-mask penalty that is harder to explain. Generally you get that one if you grab on to it momentarily or such.
The QB also has the option of running with the rest of the backline too! See Michael Vick.Wow... your passing rules ain't that different from rugby, except the QB part. Where yours passes the ball out instead of running with the rest of the backline.
