I just started using Skype and I have to say it works absolutely great on dial-up, except when you're actually using your Internet for other things like surfing. Haven't tried threshing + skyping, yet. I'm sure it works fine.

skype is really nice, one of the best programs I have, especially when subscribing and being able to call around the world at local calling costs.

One thing that sucks though, is when in the middle of the night, a guy with a screen pic of him naked, adds you and start talking in all caps.

Okay because I have someone close to me that lives in Chattanooga area I have a question about this skype. Is there a way that you can set it up so only the person you want to skype you can skype you? (If that is the proper way of saying it.)

I don't want some random people skyping me. Anyone?

go to tools ->options
open the tab 'privacy'
There is an option there,
allow calls from ...
standard its everyone, change it to my contacts
