    Playoff Preview and Predictions

    Fantasy Football Semifinal Showdown!

    #2 Serith’s Christ Punchers VS #3 Liathano’s Discovery Channel

The biggest rivalry in Fantasy Football history plays itself out again as the Punchers and DC take the field against each other for the third time this season. In week two it was the Punchers on top 77.85 to 59.06, and everyone remembers the week 13 shootout that the Punchers won 109.53 to 105.58. With two victories during the regular season the Punchers are pitting confidence against vengeance as DC looks to win the most important game of the rivalry to date.

DC looks to be at full strength, but has two players (Jones and Witten) facing a tough Philly defense. They also have their star player (Culpepper) facing a team that he hasn’t been explosive against recently (Detroit).

The Punchers have to be happy having their QB (McNabb) facing a defense ranked 27th in TDs ceded (Dallas), but their best WR (Stokely) may not be 100% for his game against a tough defense (Baltimore).

This is going to be another close game between two Fantasy Football giants, but fans should keep their expectations short of the triple digit explosion of week 13. We predict a Punchers win with a score of 85 to 80.

    #1 Falix’s Powderpuffs VS #4 Vin’s Buttheads

The Buttheads barely stayed in the playoffs and the Puffs have been dominant throughout the season, so this should be a blowout, right? Not so fast sports fans!

The Puffs have a tough match up for their star QB (Manning at Baltimore) that should keep his scoring to super-human instead of Godlike, which just might give the Buttheads a chance.

With their QB facing the leagues worst pass defense (Plummer at KC), the Buttheads have to feel they have a shot at this one. Their top WR (Owens) is listed as questionable, but remains confident that he will play.

This has the makings of a close game, which we’re predicting will go to the Buttheads in the upset of the playoffs with a final score of 90 to 85.

    The Battle of the 8-6’s

    #5 Pyryth’s Pokeys VS #8 Isaviel’s Blitzat1

The Blitz fell just 1.09 points in the last game of the season away from making the playoffs for a chance to lose to the Puffs. We like their chances better against the Pokeys, who were just 35 season points (2.5 points per game) away from the playoffs themselves. We’re predicting the Blitz by 3 in a low scoring affair.

    #6 Xenoroyal’s New York GiMets VS #7 Deokoria’s Misfits

This one has all the makings of a high-octane shootout. The Misfits have been known to explode with huge performances in the past and this week looks to be one of those, while the GiMets are looking to ride the arm of new QB Billy Volek. We’re calling Misfits by 10 in the highest scoring game of the week.

    Lucky Bitches Press Release

While we will not lie and say that our season was not disappointing, we believe we saw some good things this season. Our key players had outstanding performaces, we had some tight games with some teams, heck we even out scored the 9th place team on the season.

But, DFL is DFL... Our scouts will be out and about early for next season. Our staff feels that there are a few slots which need some backing up (LIKE A FUCKIN' RUNNING BACK) , Depth was our problem this year.

The Lucky Bitches will definitely be a team to watch next season!
(If for no other reason that to amuse the league with ineptitude)

The coaches wish luck (and several key injuries) to all the playoff teams.

    Thank you,
    The (un)Lucky Bitches

    FF Semi-Final Week Results

    #1 Powderpuffs VS #4 Buttheads

The Puffs were slowed only slightly with Manning (10.88) at Baltimore, but more than made up with it on defense with Buffalo (26.00). While the Buttheads weren’t able to capitalize on a Denver/KC match up, Plummer (9.29) and Lelie (1.85) just didn’t live up to expectations. In the end it was the Puffs in impressive fashion 91.03 to 56.09.

#2 Christ Punchers VS #3 Discovery Channel

Can you say, “Choke,” I knew you could! The Punchers didn’t even have a player break 9 points this week, as they fell flat on their faces as they lost to DC for the first time this season with the final score 98.03 to 41.51.

    #5 Pokeys VS #8 Blitzat1

Trent Green (22.48) was the hero for the Blitz, as they took the Pokeys down 65.73 to 60.81. With the win the Blitz go on to play in the Loser Bowl!

    #6 GiMets VS #7 Misfits

As predicted, this was the highest scoring game of the week! Not as predicted, it was the GiMets on top 117.29 to 61.35. Volek (35.89) was the key to the big GiMets win, while the Misfits weren’t able to capitalize on their match ups this week.

FF Championship Week Preview and Predictions

    Championship Game: Puffs VS DC

This battle of the titans is for all the glory, and a bigger chunk of the prize money! The top two point getting teams in the regular season are facing off as the Puffs look to live up to expectations, and DC looks to play spoiler. There are favorable match ups on both sides, so this should be an explosive championship. We’re calling the Puffs to win in a triple digit shootout.

Battle of the chokers: Punchers VS Buttheads

The Punchers choked last week, but the Buttheads almost choked themselves out of the playoffs. Who will choke more this week? It’s anybody’s guess. We flipped a coin and it came up heads, which means we’ll call the Punchers to win.

The King (or Queen) of Mediocrity Bowl: Blitz VS GiMets

This one is for the glory of being the best second tier team in the land. Both teams looked primed and ready for a good game, but we have to give the edge to the GiMets after a huge win last week. GiMets by 20.

The Playing for Pride Bowl: Pokeys VS Misfits

These teams have nothing left to play for but pride. The loser will be at the bottom of the stack, and just barely out of the third tier. Both teams had their ups and downs throughout the season, so this is a tough one to call, but we think the Misfits want it more. Misfits by 10.

    WOO! Nice Upset Lia!

I wish I was around to see what all was going on, but I was in Wyoming.

This was the funnest year yet, for sure, There were only a few people who kinda abandoned their teams, but most people stuck with it, which I think made it the closest and best year ever. Thanks everyone.

So Far, in three years, I have gone #2, #3, and #4! I cant seal the deal! Its gotta be next year.

Anyhow, that ruled, and its going to be a long, long offseason waiting for next year!

Man Isaviel - you sure do lose by THE closest margins. *comfort* Between that and the fumble on the Vin game...

Also, way to go Lia! You know I've still got a lot of DC fandom in my heart, even if i did ditch you against the Misfits. *grin* Thanks for letting me use your thing to watch the action!

    Great season.

I think the system we had this year really kept it heated for a LOT more people all the way until the end.
Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my Uncle Jack off a horse." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse."
