It may be difficult to define how old the internet really is, but if you define the start point in the event that took place in a lab on the 2nd of September 1969, then it is exactly 35 years today the two first computers got connected.
It was two computers being just 5 meters from each other, but already in January 1970 there were 5 computers. It was all a part of project called ARPAnet lead by professor Len Kleinroc and his collegues/studens from UCLA.
Since then the internet haven't stood still, with a broad range of inventions that have great influence on our daily lives, like email, TCP/IP protocol and the colossal spread of the internet across the world. And of course there is Threshold!![]()
