    35th Birthday of Internet! Wooo!

It may be difficult to define how old the internet really is, but if you define the start point in the event that took place in a lab on the 2nd of September 1969, then it is exactly 35 years today the two first computers got connected.

It was two computers being just 5 meters from each other, but already in January 1970 there were 5 computers. It was all a part of project called ARPAnet lead by professor Len Kleinroc and his collegues/studens from UCLA.

Since then the internet haven't stood still, with a broad range of inventions that have great influence on our daily lives, like email, TCP/IP protocol and the colossal spread of the internet across the world. And of course there is Threshold!

More in depth article about internet and it's beginnings.

An early tv program about internet (8,7Mb).

Happy Birthday to the internet! If it wasn't for the internet I would probably not have the beautiful son I have today! Nor would I have met some of the great friends I have.
