I agree that that would be the ideal, but I know some people will have to wait until their next paycheck to register, which would mean not drafting until the first week in September. If people are willing to wait that long I don't mind holding off on the draft.

Sometimes prizeworthy things come up durring the season, so I'm not overly concerned with setting all of the prizes in stone at this point, but here's a suggestion if the majority wants to lock that up now:

1st place: 100
2nd place: 75
3rd place: 50
Comeback Kid: 25 (Best comeback from a bad start to the season)
Giant Killer: 25 (Best underdog victory(ies))
Murphy's Team: 25 (There is almost always a team with tons of points, but not a very good record, somebody ends up having everyone who plays them having a great week, so despite putting up lots of points they always seem to be on the losing end of things)

The point behind the special prizes it to make the league interesting for people who aren't having a good season. FF can be frustrating if you lose a key player to injury, had a bad draft, or any number of things. At least people will get to fight it out to break even! Also, six prizes means that half of the league will at least break even, which makes the odds of not getting a registration prize acceptable.

So, everyone let me know what you think (either here or through PMs).

Should we draft now or wait until everyone is paid?
Should we decide on prizes now or keep some "special" prizes open for end of season discussion?

Well folks, the champions from Hapoel Beer Sheva will have to rest this season due to the fact I'm not on much these days, and I don't know when I will be on more frequently. Anyway, I'll join a free league if one is opened just for the kick

(and I'm not the abandoning type!)

Just to make sure there is no confusion. The only league we have set up at this point is the Premium League. If you have a team formed on the league you will be expected to register your $25 entry fee through the regular registration process (add the words "Fantasy Football Fee" to the notes). I know some people need to wait until they get paid to register, which isn't a problem, but if you don't want to be part of the Premium Legue you need to delete your team, so we can go ahead with the draft.

After we have the registration thing sorted out and the Premium League is ready to draft I'll think about starting up another league for the non-premium folks. If you non-premium folks want to start up a league that is fine too.

I just changed the name of the league to: ThresholdRPG.com Premium! to try and limit any confusion.

Just a reminder that I'm booting the wusses this weekend! If you want in on the premium league you need to let me know that you've registered, or will be registering very soon! Once everyone is registered we'll be able to draft. The latest I'd like to see the draft is next weekend. I want to draft as early as possible next week (in the next few days), but on the fourth at the very latest.

Looks like we'll have 12 teams, just two more teams to register. Two items we need to agree on before we draft:

1 - Do we want to make any adjustments to the standard roster? (ie: play 2 QBs)

2 - What does everyone think about the prize categories?

We also need to think about when we want the playoffs. Weeks 15 and 16 are standard to avoid having a key player in a meaningless week 17 game and not playing much so he can be rested for the playoffs. Of course having the playoffs week 16 and 17 gives maximum fantasy football time for the season.

Just waiting on the last two people to register and we'll be ready to draft. 4 Sep at the latest!

Drafting the 4th would put us after the last preseason game, and we'd still have at least 5 days to get rosters set for the first week.

So far it looks like we'll have 1 QB and playoffs week 15 and 16. If you want to put your vote in just send me a pm.
