    Linux MUD Client

I just started using Mandrake Linux 10 and was wondering what would be a good mud client that I could use for Threshold.

    I use KMUDDY

    http://www.kmuddy.org/

There are a couple quirks about it, though.

When you create the profile for Threshold put in your character's name and password in. I know the Threshold Admins don't necessarily want us to have auto-login, but the problem really is that before you connect, you have to click the checkbox that doesn't send the login text automatically.

You will probably also have to erase the seperators for trigger, command walking..i am not at home, right now but will be later...i can completely walk you through setting it up to your tastes

Abdalan also uses this client if you want to harass him

My favorite Linux/Unix MUD client is TinyFugue . However, I remember using and liking TinTin++ before that. That was close to 10 years ago though, so things may have changed a bit since then :P. Enjoy!

i prefer to use graphical clients to take advantage of my well-trained short-key super-fab text-editing fingers.

The following is a screen shot of what i was talking about above.

The only thing to note is that you have to check that every time you connect.

I'm going to hack and recompile it so that it is always checked. If you want that, then I can give it to you, too.

Are there any clients that can do "full session" logging, i.e. enabling us log colors?

TinyFugue can, but you have to use "raw" mode ("/set emulation=raw") and then it logs everything. I use this to pick up special bits and pieces, eg to save a full-color view of a gift certificate, but mostly I use the default emulation ansi_attr and let it log text only.

Note that as well as logging, TF keeps a buffer of something like 1000 lines, and can recall lines that match a pattern - really handy in certain circumstances.
