    Euro 2004 (Portugal)

Was just wondering if anyone was following the group matches. I only caught the opening of Portugal vs Greece where Greece caused a big upset, winning 2-1. And caught the highlights for the England vs France.

Any thoughts on the tournament? My dad says Portugal will win. I think it would be France.

I was playing pen and paper D&D while watching the France vs. England match in the background. That was truely one of the strangest endings on a soccer match I have ever seen.

England was up ahead 1-0 and in the overtime France score 2 goals within 2 minutes.

France is the big favorite and if I should guess it would be on France as well.

Yeah it was a very strange match. Just got the tape from my friend.

Anyway. What impressed me was Sweden winning 5-0 against Bulgaria. It was very very impressive. But I still bet France is way better. Italy seem to be lagging behind.

Italy never got their game rolling but who can blame them... they were up against Denmark (uups did I forget to mention where I was from).

Yeah. I noticed. Haha. But I think the keepers in that match deserved kudos. And that very nice safe by Buffon really saved their arses. And also Sorenson's saves were really vital. So if I had to pick the man of the match it would be the two keepers.

Denmark however, being unbiased here, may have a tough job against Sweden. But Denmark's next match against Bulgaria wouldn't be a problem.

I wonder if there were any English fans out there. I just think that England did pretty well. Only they shouldn't have switched off at the dying minutes. They should have known to play with their utmost strength as France had players like Zidane and Henry. The youngster Wayne Rooney had a brilliant start.
