Wow. Now we are hearing some more positive feedback about Open Office. This is encouraging me to give it a shot again.

My big question is whether or not Open Office can serve as a full replacement for MS Office.

Right now, I use Firefox as my web browser but there are still a few things I have to use IE for . That is a tad annoying. If I had to do the same for an office suite, it would be 10 times worse.
Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my Uncle Jack off a horse." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse."

There is never a good time for lazy writing!

I wouldn't think that woudl be necessary.
I wanna love you but I better not touch
I wanna hold you but my senses tell me to stop
I wanna kiss you but I want it too much
I wanna taste you but your lips are venomous poison

Okay, first I use Thunderbird (email) and Firefox (browsing) and have never had to use IE for anything (except Windows updates).

Second, I found some links that may help you decide. Comparisons of the two.
