Does anyone else find this new blood substitute study troubling, since it doesn't require the patients being experimented on to give consent?

That's just creepy. You're 90% dead and they are trying to save your life with something they think might work.
I guess if the only choice was, try the fake blood or let me die, I'd be ok with not consenting but it is far too dangerous because they can just decide they are out of the real blood when its convenient for them.
I'm always leary of these things because they are often times just the first step to something worse.
Don't get too perky!
I find it to be completely outrageous.
Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my Uncle Jack off a horse." and "I had to help my uncle jack off a horse."
There is never a good time for lazy writing!
I just saw a link to this on fark.com.. their caption made me laugh.
"Fake blood tested without consent on unsuspecting patients. Folgers Crystals cited as precedent"
Don't get too perky!
