The foods we eat now are all sprayed with insecticide and weed killer, after which they are processed in various unhealthy ways, and finally have dangerous chemical poisons added to them to make them prettier colors or to preserve them longer, or to add deadly calorie-free sweeteners.

And people eat 'em anyway. People also still smoke, drive drunk, do drugs, go camping in Lyme territory, feed the bears at Yellowstone, build houses on floodlands....
