I eat just as much steak as ever. Beef is a huge industry in Alberta, a lot of people's livelihoods are being crushed. Nobody here seems to care, like most people say, I wasn't gonna eat the brain or spinal cord anyway. But more than 50% of beef is exported, and with the borders to many countries (including US) closed, there's not much anyone can do.

The sad part is if our last PM wasn't such an idiot, and just been nice to Dubya, there probably wouldn't have been as much problem! It's all political. I find it funny that one case here leads to 'Shut the border! We're all gonna diiiiieeee', and one case in the US leads to 'No worries folks. It's perfectly safe.'
