What do you think of the current BCS Snafu?
USC is #1 in both human polls but #3 in the BCS.
LSU (#2 in human polls and BCS) will play OU (#3 in human polls and #1 in the BCS) for the BCS Title.
If USC beats Michigan in the Rose Bowl they will (should) be the AP national champ.
The BCS was created with the sole express purpose of eliminating the split national champion (the unexpressed purpose was to make a shitload of money).
The BCS has dodged a bullet 3 times so far but it looks like this might be the year they finally get their eye blackened.
Thank god.
The BCS needs to die. There needs to be an 8 team playoff at a minimum, possibly 16 teams. I hate the BCS even more than the "old system" because a half assed solution only serves to delay the implementation of a REAL solution.
What is truly pathetic is that a worthless game between two schools with losing records (Notre Dame vs. Syracuse) is what decided who would play for the "national title." What a broken system.
Strength of schedule and other such factors are excellent TOOLS but nothing like that can ever replace what really matters: putting it on the field.
Death to the BCS.
