I hate the fact that an owner who CARES about his team is not even allowed to make the investment he would like to make.

It sucks that injuries are the most important thing in the league. It used to be saying "We didn't win because of injuries" was as pansy ass a defense as "the sun was in our eyes." Back in the day, if someone whined about injuries the problem was bad ownership who didn't plan for that contingency. Now that is the truest statement in the game.

Everything we said about the salary cap and lack of depth is precisely why good coaching is even MORE vital than ever before. With so many other things being equal, one of the few places an owner can really invest in his team's success is to get the best coaching staff possible.
