    Political Correctness For Computer Hardware

I was -hoping- this was a joke when I heard about it, but Snopes has verified that Los Angeles County has taken offense to the master/slave labeling of computer hardware. Hardware manufacturers will now have to remove or change the master/slave labeling of components they wish to sell to customers in the Los Angeles area. It's hard to be surprised about this kind of crap these days, but this is a bit ridiculous.

Perhaps next we'll have to avoid designating connections as female/male, to avoid suggesting gender roles .

I read about this same thing in the paper recently and was just aghast.

    What a freaking absurd joke.

The more we tolerate this crap the weaker and more pathetic we become.

Dammit, I saw the title to this thread and decided it would be a good place to plug User Friendly once again, but Talsek beat me to it.
