Sorry, but that dog doesn't hunt. Your chromosomes are your chromosomes. People can choose to live however they want, and I respect that and hope people do whatever they need to do in order to be happy.

But no amount of changing one's dress or plastic surgery can change your genetics. With the exception of a few very unusual situations, you're either XX or XY and that's that.

So, I'm not sure where this thread is going. She lied about her race, which is completely wrong. What else are we flogging her?

So a transgender that says she's a "she" lies about her gender? I'm not arguing biology here, but if we're in an age where "trans-whatever" is okay, race shouldn't be exempt.

For trans people - that IS the fact and truth. They honestly view themselves as part of a different biological group than the one they were born into. Why did she lie about her parents? My only guess is she anticipated exactly the responses we see here - mocking her for not truly belonging in the group. By the way, I see it with hardcore feminists too - they are the worst at accepting transgenders.
