Yeah me too. And yes, dear #1 Fan, the Discovery Channel will be obliterated as well... but not until week 9 :(
On that happy day, the coach will wake up and see that he has NO quarterbacks to start. Awww.
I wont even need Holmes or Green that week, Im giving them a bye.
Blech, caught me on my worst week, BUT I'll surprise everyone. You just wait and see ;)
Oh bleh. I need to pay closer attention.Quote:

I guess Jidoe's smack talk is starting to make him sound like Discovery Channel!
Good thing both of them will get OBLITERATED by the CHRIST PUNCHERS!
I'm not saying I'll win the league, but come on, this year I will surely be much better.
Last year I didn't know a THING about football, and now I know a thing or two. Understanding football and understanding the fantasy league mechanics does help winning a couple of games :)
Anyway, be sure I won't be anywhere near last place this season. Maybe I lost Owens and Faulk, but I did get (much) better QBs (when Couch's your best QB, you know something is fucked up with the team).
GOD DAMN PRESEASON!
Pennington just broke his off hand wrist!
Just a matter of time I suppose till I got screwed, more to come Im sure.... Pittman might go to Jail.. Holmes might not be 100% on his hip... Each preseason game is just a crap shoot of injuries! What the hell is going on this year? What is gonna happen in the REAL season???
It'll end up all teams like last year's Chicago, where all the starters, seconds and thirds got hurt!

HA! This is what happens to people who nag about getting the draft started :D
In a serious note, this is going to make everyone rethink their strategies and most likely make for closer games down the line.!
SOB! My starting QB is now out for 12 weeks!
This is bullshit!
I blame the hated Discovery Channel!!!!!
3 Days and counting!!!!
For any who want it.. I made a little spreadsheet with everyone's Rosters, Schedules, Bye weeks, etc. Lord knows I SHOULDNT help all you losers, but its nice to have an easy way to keep track of things... And I showed a few people, so to be fair, you can get it here:
Football Sheet
You can just change your matchup notes as you need it, Im too lazy to take mine out. Its up to date as of Sept. 1st. The Bye weeks are automatically calculated by what team is entered, so if you fuck it up, just paste a copy of another cell with the bye formula into the one you messed up.
Schedule - Week 1
Gridiron Gorians - 10.60
The Christ Punchers - 0.00
Miniature Schnauzers - 0.00
Discovery Channel - 4.60
Shellshock - 4.10
PowderPuffs - 0.00
Magi Powers - 0.00
Quos Hell Hounds!!! - 3.20
Hapoel Beer Sheva - 0.00
Crashing Bores - 0.00
I'm leading the league in points baby! It takes everone elses point totals to match my dominating total! (ok, so over half the league hasn't had a starter play, but that is besides the point)
Hey, it will probably be the only time all season that I'm leading in points, I'm going to enjoy it while I can. ;)
Nevermind.. found the new thread
<ventures over from Hearth and Home>
Can I be someone's #1 fan? I've got lots of good vibes.
Yes.. The Crashing Bores are in desperate need of ANYTHING that will help!Quote:

My hat off to the Powderpuff's...I lost in a decent slugfest of points.
And in other news....
WARNER ISNT LOOKING GOOD FOLKS!!!!
A concussion in the first game! Well thats not good, too bad they dont have a backup quarterback that can fill his shoes, cause he isnt going to start next week.
Oh wait. they DO! He went 6-1 last year as a starter! Oh man! I hope someone picked him up, cause the Rams offense is still a force to be reckoned with!
Oh wait, someone DID! ME! Marc Bulger!
WOO HOO!Quote:

He was also voted the MVP of the Rams last year by his team mates.
GO CHRIST PUNCHERS!
What a Crazy week! Lets recap!
Well, By far the matchup turned out to be the mighty Christ Punchers versus Drasioni's Smellsock. It came down to QB vs QB. One on One, Collins verses Carter. Smellsock lead by 6 going into the night, because of a great NE defense turnout! Collins blew the first 3 quarters, then BAM! GOLDEN LIGHTS SHONE DOWN FROM THE HEAVENS, TO SAVE THEIR FAVORITE SON, _ME_, And Collins threw 3 td's! and with a last fumble during OT, Carter sealed the deal, and I won by a HUGE margin of .3!!!!!!!! VICTORY!!!! CHEW SLOWLY ON THE BITTER, FOUL TASTING APPLE THAT IS YOUR LOSS!!!!!!
In other news......
The Gridiron Gorians rode the Jamal Lewis wave for 40 points, and then got a second helping from a MAMMOTH Seattle showing on defense!!! Who knew!?! apparently, he did. With help from a poor showing from Kurgan's recievers, He handed the Miniature Schnauzers their second loss, and tries to hold on till his superstar, Vick, returns.
The Fagi Powers got their second win with pure luck, I dont think he is even paying attention, as two of his recievers were out DAYS before game time, but due to a completely weak attempt by most of Falix's team, the Chowdermuffs got a loss after their huge opening week.
Sebooe and the Rashing Sores eeked out over THE HATED DISCOVERY CHANNEL (tm), because of Lia's Quarterback problems, but look for a big comeback if Vinnie Tesaverde doesnt die of old age before the season is out.
And last, and probably least, the Quotox Hello Kitties got beat by... wait a second, who? NO way... it Cant be.... JIDOE?!?!?!?! Thats right folks, the most pathetic whimpering limpwristed daisy picking skirt-wearing lightweight from last year has two wins and is the points leader!!!!! Look at his line up!!! By far the most impressive recievers, Great Running backs, decent QB's!!! Look out, can the bottom feeder from last year dust himself off and hang with the big dogs? Time will tell!
Ya just got lucky. And I happen to like bitter apples.
What's the story with bye points?
I looked in the rules and couldn't figure out what that meant but I think I saw that setting turned on.
Thanks,
Rashing Whores
Aww. Someone's getting jealous. Don't worry, Serith, you will have plenty of time whining when Hapoel Beer Sheva beats the hated Discovery Channel and the hated Christ Punchers.Quote:

Good luck, Punchy. Check your line up for week 4 and fucking recognize, bitch.
The mighty giants that are the Gridiron Gorians have awoken! I will own all of you sorry punk ass bitches!
I think he needs a recap. :)Quote:

What's this? Something's up with the scoring. Somehow an extra half point or so appeared in my score for week two, anyone have any idea why?
I'm not sure. It's possible that the official statistics come out a few days after the games. Yahoo is working with what they have and if there is a change in the scoring they will update the scores.
Just a guess.
BTW, I figured out the Bye Points. Its for fantasy teams that have a bye, not NFL teams. Since we have 10 teams, there are no byes so they don't matter.
Sebboe
WHAT?!
Five days later and they change the score so I lose?
BS BS BS BS BS BS
Hehehe :violinQuote:

As for week 4:
The fact that Brad Johnson isn't playing isn't so bad because Kitna is worth about the same point-wise.
Now.. Hasselback and Alexander are a different story.
Hasselback is the player who pretty much brought me the victories and Kordell can't be compared with him, unfortunately. As for Alexander, we all know he has his good days and his bad days, so I'll just think of his bye week as a bad day and line-up Moe Williams :p
WOO! Are you ready for some football!
This is a TOUGH ass week for alot of teams... check out some of the matchups.
Philly vs Buf
Was vs NE
Min vs SF
Pit vs TEN
HOLY CRAP! Those are some GREAT matchups.
There are no realy sure things.... Id say DEN vs DET but POrtis isnt healing from a chest bruise (?!), but luckily the DET secondary is injury riddled. CLE vs CIN is gonna be a tough game.. CIn is on the verge of being a tough team kinda maybe! (did I just say that?) OAk VS SD, KC vs BAL, CAR vs ATL, all really tough games to call!
What will that mean for our teams? Im thinking this week will be like last week, a low scoring affair for most teams (Cept me! WOO!)
This week has been insane so far....A lot of good players were on bye weeks, but big numbers were still put up...The amazing thing about the league this year so far is that it is still pretty close, there are no outright league leaders yet, even my team still has a shot at the playoffs!
I LOVE PEYTON MANNING!
20/25 for 300+ and 6 tds, Peyton singlehandedly brought my team victory after making some VERY bad coaching decisions that could have cost me a victory. and their D stepped it up big with a few ints and fumble recoveries, and a td to boot. so in conclusion...Discovery Channel is 3-1
I wonder why Serith is so quiet this week? Maybe it's because the Christ Punchers were completely obliterated and butchered by over *60* pts by the great Hapoel Beer Sheva.
In a week that Kordell brought me 17 pts and Kitna brought me 26 pts even god couldn't help the Christ Punchers :p
uh huh....Quote:

HOLY FUCK!!!!!!!!! the COLTS! WOW! in the most unbelievable comeback i have EVER seen, the colts came back from being down by 21 with 4 mins left in the 4th to win in OT!
and the best part is, Falix ended up winning because of Vanderjagt's FG in overtime! haaaaaaaaah
This is the reason why I wished I had TIVO. I know people are going to bring up the fact that it was a bogus leaping call, but at the same time the colts could have won earlier. but they had a bad ruffing the kicker call against them. I would hate to be a Tampa Bay player tonight. By the way, Serith, man, what's up???
Whats up with what? I won by 30.
You lost by 63?
Or, if you're just saying hi, then:
hey dude!
yeah, I wasn't nearly as amused as you.. im watching the game and once they colts got into "TD only" situations i knew they'd not kick any fg and i'd win figuring they had no shot at OT.Quote:

amazing comeback and then to top it off... I lose after Vanderjerk misses a 42 yarder and then has like a 27 yarder hit off the upright and go through.
of course, the worst news in it all is that the reason I was even in the game was because Maddox lost .5 points. as a steelers fan and a yankees fan, i had a pretty bad sports weekend. the sox won on saturday, again on sunday, the steelers get crushed by the cleveland poo stains, the sox win again on monday and then dawson fucking vanderbeek doinks his eight point point of the night off the upright and the crashing bores lose by less than 1 point.
I stayed awake all night to see that game and prior to it I had a feeling I'm not going to be sorry about it, though even I was surprised.
This weekend has brought up a question mark though: Will the Bears be able to keep up with their latest result?
It seems that although the team is still pretty weak, Kordell and Booker have managed to upgrade themselves a bit and give a couple of good performances, but will that be enough for future games? I think not.
Hey, remember when I was leading the league in points? That was pretty cool....If only the season only lasted for the first game of the season.....well, I have this to cling to: I'M NOT LAST!!!
That damned Jidoe is stealing my piece of the pie. He will pay. Very soon. For now, I turn my attention to slaughtering the Discovery Channel this weekend. How can a team with a gimpy coach pull out a victory, seriously.
your defeat tastes so, so sweet :guitarQuote:

I'm leading! Alone! First person to pass 1000 pts! All the power to me! Mwuhahahahahaha!
:bigparty
Discovery Channel has proven to be a filthy, backstabbing, underhanded organization. After promising a trade with the Powderpuffs, their club has gone and traded the player being negotiated for, to another team. Your true colors are showing and it won't go unnoticed! I'm pondering making weekly trades with the teams playing against the Discovery Channel just so they can have the best players possible to trounce that team. Being first matters not anymore. Destroying that lowlife organization is priority number one.
Listen to this new voice of dissent! Listen to the masses rise up against the Hated Discovery Channel! Who out there will stand up in this time of trouble? Who will be the champion of the downtrodden? Who will fight for the PEOPLE!? Who will stand up for whats right, for whats good and just?!
Surely, there is someone strong enough, bold enough! Some team with balls! Some manager with good looks!
IT MUST BE THE CHRIST PUNCHERS!
Harken, all ye peasants who have been trampled by the steel-toed booted tyranny of the Hated Discovery Channel! Rally behind me, worthless, tired souls! You have a champion! We must be victorious!
hmm, trade Green for Kevan Barlow, or trade Green for a real player in Jamal Lewis...
whatever gave you the idea there were friends in this league? and you only say being #1 isnt a priority now because you're not #1 anymore. maybe if you spent half as much managing your team as you do on whining about not getting a player, you wouldnt have lost to my "lowlife organization". beaten by my patchwork team! hah! i would ask how you sleep at night, but i think i already know the answer: in your wet bedsheets that get soaked in urine every time you think of your humiliating loss to me
and as for Serith, we'll see how he can do without his precious Priest to lead his congregation in week 9
Well well well.
I think I just heard some cockiness from the the hated Discovery Channel and the pathetic Christ Punchers.
Let me just remind you all that the treasonous Discovery Channel is the team that have suffered the biggest defeat this season. To whom you ask? To the great Hapoel Beer Sheva of course. A defeat by *90* points is by any definition humiliating.
And the pathetic Christ Punchers, with Priest, have suffered a bitter defeat of *over 60* points against the mighty Hapoel Beer Sheva, so again, don't expect that pathetic team to defeat any serious team.
I guess PowderPuffs is the only team with honor left in this league. Definately an extinct species among fantasy leagues with the great Hapoel Beer Sheva.
Expect great things from the two teams who own the league!
After a fight to the end, the Gridiron Gorians eeked out a victory against the upstart Powderpuffs. A well fought victory. The only bright spot for the PP's was the fall of that filthy organization known as the Discovery Channel. Praise is due to the Christ Punchers, who fought through injuries and still managed to trample their foul and wretched week 9 opponent.
The PowderPuffs are eager to get back on the field and reclaim that winning form after two heart breaking losses in a row. Their slump buster, Shellshock. As always, our organization wishes the best against the opponent of the Discovery Channel, Go Schnauzers!
Oh man. This sunday was spent away from any kind of stat tracker, or computer to tally up the score... and I was sweating bullets over the ONE big rivalry game for me this year.
Then Chad Douchebag Pennington (WHO I DRAFTED AND WAS GONNA PICK UP SECONDS AFTER LIA DID!!!!) goes and throws like 150 td passes, with Manning as a second QB... I knew I was toast without the Priest.
Well How the FUCK did I pull that one out? I was winning even before I had my TE and Kicker for Monday, too.
The Hated DIscovery Channel, bane of all Threshold Fantasy, loses by 19. Clinton Portis scores 19 + points after being traded.
Coincidence?
