QFT! I saw a Packers #4 jersey not more than an hour ago as I walked through a store. It made me a little sad inside.Quote:

Where are all the Pats fans?
Brady's season over after injuring knee vs. Chiefs
Karma is a fuckin' bitch.
Lets look at what has happened since Belichick got caught cheating, got indignant about anyone daring to punish him for it, and went on an "F-U" (courtesy of Bill Simmons) season of running up the score:
18-1: In the most agonizing fashion possible, they come one helmet catch away from a perfect season. Talk about coitus interruptus.
Brady out: All those years of his bullshit, dishonest injury reports where Brady was on every one. For the first time ever, he doesn't have Brady on the injury report, and now he's out for the year.
Cassel in: This is now their starter. How valuable would it have been to put Cassel in 2-3 drives earlier in 10 or so games last season, instead of running up the score. Think how much better prepared he'd be to play now. Or heck, if he sucks, you'd already have learned it and could have gone out and gotten a better backup.
This might be the end of the New England dynasty. All because of Belichick's cheating and the bad karma that resulted from it.
The shame of it is the Pats still have a lot of great players. Players who play with class and skill and heart who don't deserve this fate. That's what happens when you are part of an organization headed by a dishonest piece of shit.
So Wes Welker... who "fucking sucks" now?
The whole world's upside down - San Diego loses to Carolina, Donovan McNabb has an amazing (3 TD, almost 300 yard) game, the Colts get shit-canned by the Bears...what the fuck is going on here?
I was thinking the same thing.Quote:

This year, I'm going to shoot for the moon...
J E T S JETS JETS JETS! GO FAVRE!
I want to see Favre win a Super Bowl more this year than ever.
A Favre championship would be awesome this year. Today's game was pretty slick, even with the strangeness of losing a placekicker. It was funny when the Jets had their backup QB and punter practicing field goal kicks. Maybe Favre can just chuck the ball downfield to start games...Quote:

In true Bill Belichik fashion... piling on is fun
Hahahahaha. I bet.Quote:
What time are you reading this? 1 p.m. ET or so on Monday? I'll bet you one Patriots season-ticket package (no doubt available for cheap on eBay!) that every store in New England is now sold out of Red Sox and Celtics memorabilia.
Fake quote, but funny:
ROFL!Quote:
"I wonder if we can copyright 1-0?" -- Robert Kraft, Patriots owner
Quote:
"Looks like knee braces will be the hot fashion item this fall." -- Editor-in-Chief, GQ magazine
"Looks like I can call off the neighborhood watch for this year." -- Mercury Morris, 1972 Miami Dolphins
"Yes! Bring on the supermodels!"
"You know, that polo shirt and khaki pants look isn't really in style anymore. I should take you shopping with me sometime."
Two more great quotes from that article that have nothing to do with the Pats:
And:Quote:
And now I present the short play "Jessica Simpson Sees Tony Romo's Chin."
Simpson: "What is that on your chin? Sauce from buffalo wings?"
Romo: "No. It's blood. I cut my chin open."
Simpson: "You keep blood inside your chin? That is so gross."
And … scene.
Quote:
Great job by the Ravens working Joe Flacco into the offense. The rookie completed his first pass for nine yards to tight end Todd Heap. But the veteran immediately fumbled it over to the Bengals, as if to say: "Whoa there, rookie. Slow down. Completing your first pass? Positive yards? That's not how we do things around here. Take your time."
I can't believe there is a controversy surrounding Ed Hochuli and his incorrect whistle.
For those who do not know what happened:
Norv "Journeyman Crap Coach" Turner's comment is what I find not acceptable. What does he want Hochuli to do? Rewrite the rulebook right there on the field? If replay is not allowed to give possession to the opponent in the situation of fumble vs. incomplete pass, that's the end of it. And frankly, that sounds like a potentially good rule, since that's a very tough call and they really should err on the side of the offense keeping the ball. That call is a weird one. It is almost as bad as the old "pushing out" call. You are asking a referee to figure out exactly how forward the QBs arm is moving at the time, and to somehow know the difference between a pump fake and a pass.Quote:
Trailing 38-31, the Broncos reached the 1 but on second-and-goal, Cutler reared back to throw and the ball slipped out of his hands, bounced off the grass and into linebacker Tim Dobbins' arms.
...
Referee Ed Hochuli blew his whistle when the ball came out, ruling it an incomplete pass. A review showed that it should have been ruled a fumble. Instant replay rules, however, don't allow the opponent to gain possession in such situations.
"All we can do to fix it is put the ball at the spot that it hit the ground, which is why we moved it back to the 10-yard line and the down counts and it becomes third down," Hochuli said afterward.
That explanation wasn't good enough for Chargers coach Norv Turner.
"On the last play, it was clearly a fumble," Turner fumed. "Ed came over, the official, and said he blew it. And that's not acceptable to me. This is a high-level performance game and that's not acceptable to have a game decided on that play."
Hochuli did the only thing he could in that situation. Yes, he made a mistake, but that's a really, really tough call and an easy mistake to make.
Referees association says it stands by Hochuli after botched call
It is a shame that this even needs to be said. Hochuli has enough integrity that he openly admitted his mistake and even went right to the coach to admit it face to face. But that wasn't good enough for classless, perennial loser Norv Turner.Quote:
"No one feels worse about this than Ed, but like the coaches and players in our high-speed game, mistakes will occur," NFLRA executive director Tim Millis said in a statement.
I have hated the Chargers for a while now thanks largely to LDT, Merriman, Norv Loser, and the Chargers ownership. But now more than ever I hope they go 0-16.
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Matt Milan fired by the Lions. There go two automatic victories for the Packers every year. :headbang
Heh, not so fast. I think a winning Lions team is a sure sign of Armageddon.Quote:
