Apparently at least one of the bombs was a VBED in a fuel tanker. No Americans injured.

The link hath failed. I've already read about it though.
We just need to give Iraq more time is all. But on a more serious note, I think Iran is behind a lot of the shit going on in Iraq today. We had some loser kill 32 people here a while back and that was major news. That's a daily event over there. We should just nuke the middle east and be done with this mess. I mean seriously, who wants to look at this shit for another 2000 years?
Hmm, it did turn into a dead link. I edited a new one in.
Well, we've already been dealing with this shit for at least 5,000 years.Quote:

Darius, Xerxes, Hannibal, the Crusades.
The West vs. the Middle East is nothing new, unfortunately.
Yeah. But Hannibal did it with style. He took on 83,000 Romans with his 26,000 in an open field and trounced them. Now if he had only made sure to kill Scipio at that battle (And his own country had decided to back him with troops) Roman history might would have been written quite a bit differently.

And how would you deal with the blow back from the rest of the global Muslim population?
I suspect that more than just Muslims might react here.
Interesting idea. Useless, but interesting.Quote:

As was said before, more than just the muslim people would react.
Also, blowing the middle east to smithereens will also seriously shorten the oil reserves. Oil reserves which also the US badly needs.
Overall, it would hasten the world into a new world order. If that is one we like, and if the US retains its current role in it is at best doubtful.
A much better way to go than nuking the middle east is to eliminate our reliance on foreign oil.
They'd be a much smaller problem if they weren't able to hold oil prices over our heads like a Sword of Damocles.
Considering that it is highly unlikely that we will be divested of our reliance on foreign oil in our lifetime, why don't we just break off relations with the Middle East and start buying from Russia? Surely they're mercenaries enough to appreciate a green harvest of cash money, politics aside.
