I found that the news did nothing but depressed me so I stop watching it. If it was anything significant I would come here or cnn to find out what is going on.
As far as political I just have no interest and I know that is not a good thing but all I see is arguing and nothing else. That just annoys me.
I'm going to be straight honest about my inactivity on this forum.
While I echo Aristotle's and Kraxe's sentiments about politics, I got tired with all the senseless, dumbfounded muslim bashing that every other idiot jumped on, and didn't really feel it was worth my time and effort anymore.
That, and that Threshold's politics have been keeping me busy :)
"The news" is not the actual news is part of the problem. At least here, our local news might be considered a part of the police department, given that 80% of the stories are about crime one way or the other. A major economic development will get 15 seconds, while a police dog who runs away and isn't found for all of 2 hours will get 2 minutes.
The real news - and real political developments - are found in magazines like The Economist. I love that particular one, largely because it has a global scope and tends to cut through posturing on the part of all parties. Foreign Policy is another good one - real discussions of real issues.
So... not watching "the news" doesn't mean you're not interested in what's going on int he world, it just means you're not interested in tripe.

You know what I think annoys me most about your immature behavior like the above quote? I actually find politicians like that absurd, frightening, and unsuitable for office. Then someone like you comes along and makes off-topic, muck raking comments hoping to score political points against a political party you hate to an irrational, freakish degree.
