If Kiania can back me up, from what I remember from working at the state aquarium, if you do get barbed - although the pain is excruciating, all you do it stick the area in water as hot as you can handle and it numbs the pain and neutralises the poision (which is protein based). Unfortunatly if you take one to the chest it brings on cardiac arrest - and your heart may explode on contact.
