Jon Benet's killer

Sorry, I still haven't ruled out the parents here. Apparently this guy knew the family somehow? He has a child pornography conviction so the guy is also a pedophile. It's a freakin' bizarre case and the truth no doubt is just as bizarre. For all we know the parents were pimping the girl out and something went wrong (sorry to be vulgar but you get the idea). I wanna know what the family's relation was to this guy.

Here's the core facts as I know them and why this case is so out there: Girl goes missing, ransom note found. Police and community searching for the girl, one week later the girls body turns up in the basement of her -own- home. Now that is very unusual and I still suspect the family, parents, someone close, whoever. I also understand that law enforcement botched some shit during this mess, which I guess is a given for these high profile crimes. Makes me shudder at the number of mistakes on regular day-to-day crime investigations.

They're gonna need some chicken wire for that guy- I think he could slip right through the prison bars. Well except his head, that might get stuck. They say the only limiting factor for a rat to squeeze through any given opening is the size of its skull.

She didn't commit suicide, unless she was extremly excellent at faking ovarian cancer. =) She was diagnosed in '93 (JonBenet was murdered in '96) and died this past June. I'm kind of surprised you didn't hear about it. I remember it being covered very well, as alot of people were hoping that her impeding death might have made her consider confessing.

I've always been extremly interested in this case, because the Ramseys are very well connected to my community. It was almost like a local event, even though the murder occured in Boulder. The Ramseys had a summer home in my home town, and their eldest son went to our public school. More importantly, though, John Ramsey ran for our House representive for our district. So, he is fairly well known.

Because of that, and the bizarre nature of the case, I have been keeping a decent tabs on everything, and I can say this now: Currently, take Karr with a grain of salt. His confession is stacked full of inconclusive statements that simply stack on top of the pile of -conflicting- evidence they have from their previous investigations.

Hopefully, Karr's DNA will match the blood spot they found on JonBenet's underwear. If it does not, then.... who knows if any of these question marks will ever be actually answered?

She was found the same day, not a week later.

The law enforcement did fuck a lot of things up during the investigation. Who knows, perhaps if they had not this case might have been solved by now. In the end, however, they brought in some of the best to investigate the case, and the evidence uncovered just made the case more and more conflicted.

The prosecution felt an intruder murdered JonBenet, and the law enforcement felt the parents did it. Both sides clashed, and both sides had enough evidence to make valid points. (I actually just recently watched a documentary on just this topic, but I won't bore everyone with the in-depth commentary.) Neither could get past the reasonable doubt part, however.

This is not a case of, "We know the Ramseys/unknown intruder did it, we simply can't convict the bastard," Anyone who makes definitive statements on who the killer is basing it on pure speculation. There is just enough evidence to create suspicion, and that is where it ends unfortunately.

I certainly do not feel like anyone should feel bad about suspecting the Ramseys for killing their daughter, even with Karr's current confession. Whether John/Patsy did it, or didn't do it, regardless of whether they are cleared definitively or not there was enough evidence to claim that they COULD have done it. At a time when no solid answers were being given, no reasonable person can ignore that fact.

This sounds strangely like the "not all Muslims are bad" argument. Fact is, putting your little girl on display like a hooker so others can judge how good-looking she is happens to be abuse. These weren't "oh, how cute. Look at the baby" pageants. Have you seen the pictures of Jon Benet? She was made up like an adult would be.

Any parent who subjects their kid to a gigantic series of these competitions is suspect, in my book.

First that Muslim statement was pretty ignornant and uncalled for. Not all Muslims are bad, but that is a topic for another forum and I don't feel like every conservative on the Thresh boards to come after me for my liberal points of view. Though that is just predjudice.

And yes I have seen how they dressed her up. I don't agree with it. I would never dress my kids like that or involved them in anything remotely like that. It doesn't mean that everyone in all of kid pagaents are messed up monsters, and whore their kids out to perverts and wish for them to be murdered!

In fact my niece was into modeling and pagents. She was Miss Florida Princess and she looked nothing like Jon Benet. She was dressed very proper with just a little color on her cheeks for photographing. So you can not judge pagents by Jon Benet at all. That was her parents doing and not all pagent parents do that. My niece is now 18 yrs old and she is not a slut or whore or what have you and she wears hardly any make up. The only thing the pagent did was help her in her modeling career.

Oh yeah.. Have you heard the latest? I just heard it on the news tonight. Something about the killer was preparing to have a sex change and had all his facial hair removed somehow. This just gets more weird by the moment.

You don't have to literally sell your kid for sex to whore them out. Check out Miss Statutory Rape (Miss Teen USA). 15-year-olds in bikinis. Personally I won't be offering my young daughter as eye candy for pedophiles, whether it be on stage at a pageant or elsewhere.

Lovely.. as if the transgendered dont get a bad enough rap. Bad enough that some of my friends are looked down upon because of it, but everywhere they turn things just pop up that make it harder for them.

Well if you haven't read the latest... All charges were dropped again John Kerr, because the DNA tests didn't match him to the blood, etc. found at the crime scene.
