It may change soon but so far Gad is right - I can see search results in Google for banned sites (like Wikipedia is always way up there) but it always gives me a 404 whenever I click on the links. I had been using Wiki quite some time before it was banned, and at first I just thought the site was down or there was a problem with my work computer. Then I realized it wouldn't stay down for that long :(
Heheh. You know, I keep a blog while I'm here in China. I just started a new one too. The funny part is, I can post and edit to my heart's content, but exept preview function on posts, I can't even view my own blog because it's censored. :rolleyes

Damn. They banned Wikipedia? That sucks.
Can you go through a proxy?

Yeah it really sucks! I used it a lot to get materials for the classes I teach here on western culture. It's so stupid because while, yes, there is some bad stuff about the PRC's gov't on there, it's so tiny, and overall it's just hurting the people because now there is even less contact with the outside world and outside ideas. It's not even accomplishing anything, all the people know all they need to know about the government here anyway. We LIVE here.
I think you can go thru proxy servers but I don't know how to do that. Also, I don't want to mess around too much because I guess finding a way to view stuff that people obviously doesn't want you to view is not a good idea.
