The AFC tried to defend your theory a little, but he NFC blew it out of the water. Seattle won the right to lose the Super Bowl to the Steelers. It'll be a sad statement on the state of affairs in the NFC when the #6 seed AFC team humiliates the #1 seed NFC team.Quote:

I've compiled total strength of schedule into a nice little list for your viewing.
Especially at the professional level, I think seed ranks are kinda pointless at times.
I mean, imo, the steelers are by far the better team. By far, they have had the best post-season performance.
In my eyes, pro teams are alot more about momentum, coaching, and game plans when its playoff time.
Indy, great all season, crapped at the end, crapped in the playoffs. Bears, fucking insane Def all season, gave up assloads in the playoffs. Pats, too self conscious about "respect" bullshit so they got rolled. etc, etc...
Steelers under Boss Bill are 101-1 when being up by 11 during a game. As long as Big Ben can their O can put up at least three scores, Pitt will dominate ANY team right now. They have the momentum and the confidence and the hunger that NFL playoffs require.

It amazes me that people call Cowher a choker and all sorts of other negative things.
The guy goes to the playoffs almost EVERY SINGLE YEAR, and he's been to a bunch of AFC Championships and a Super Bowl (which he lost solely due to Neil O'Donnell fucking choking it away with 3 picks - the Steelers dominated in yards, time of possession, first downs, etc.).
I had my second heart attack in two weeks last week. Awesome. GO STEELERS!
I agree 1000%
Cowher is an excellent coach. He has been with the steelers a long time. They have been consistently good, imo. They have never been an easy win for any team under his reign. He didn't inherit some unstoppable powerhouse, he doesn't pick up HUGE name rookies out of the draft. The modern Steeler's team makes names. Their schemes and coaching make their players better. They simply win games.
Another interesting fact that was mentioned during the game.....
During Bill Cowher's time as Steeler's head coach, 93 coaches have come and gone from the NFL.
