Man, I love skype, I've been using it for probably a year and a half or so for work and now to talk to friends.
Back in early 2005 I taught English online to folks in Taiwan, and our whole company was literally scattered over the globe in 8 different countries, 30 people total, so skype was a great way to keep costs down yet make communicating easy.
It is especially nice to have now that I'm temporarily back in the US, because I still want to talk to my Chinese friends every day. And, when I was there I used it to talk to my family back home, because to make a call out of China to the US is insanely expensive, even for Americans working there on a decent salary.
I also get the random skypers all the time, but since the account I use now was set up in Chinese, somehow all the random skypers I get are in China, which makes it even more interesting.
