Way to beat down the patriots sunday!! (I know it's now wednesday, but my computer took a crap and I haven't been able to post until now)
Eagles are the undefeated team though, and they should still be undefeated after this week as well. I have supreme confidence in my projection.
But yeah, the Steelers have been pretty darn good with that rookie QB of theirs.
While on the subject though, how about them Chargers!!!!
Go Pittsburgh!
I hope they have some magic left for the Eagles game!
hate hate hate hate!
Die Eagles!
I think Eagles hatred is pretty darn close to universal around these parts.
I can't imagine why...
Maddox is ready to play!
Too F****ng BAD!
Rothchelshrytuebergerwiczkowsky is Aweome.
I predict...as a life long pittsburgher...EAGLES LOSE!
Bring the hate!

What's with the Eagles hate?
Maybe I'll understand when T.O. breaks out his new dance routine after catching his third touchdown of the day :).
Eagles are gonna lose. Westbrook is going to miss another game, and they've BARELY beaten two shitty teams this year (barely beating Baltimore with Baltimore's limp-dicked offense and without Jamal? PATHETIC!). Staley is running too well and the Steelers have far too many good receivers for the Eagles to stand a shot. Ben shows poise against the blitz, which is all the Eagles are gonna be doing all day, and leaves single coverage on the outside. Trust me, you don't want single coverage on 6'5 Burress.
GO STEELERS!
When Chad Scott is on the field the Steelers can be passed on with ease. His injury was a key in beating the Patriots. I seriously thought he was going to get moved to safety at a minimum and potentially get cut. Why this guy is still the starting CB on any NFL team is beyond me.
*waves her terrible towel*
In the words of Myron Cope " YOI!!!"
By the way, I think it would be awesome if some other people within a reasonable distance from Pittsburgh would be interested in maybe a one day gathering....taking in a steeler game of course!
You can get tickets at the door anytime, maybe not a seat, but you can watch from the rail at different parts of the stadium and actually see better than you would in one staionary seat in peanut heaven!
It would be awesome to get like a dozen of us to go for a Steeler game. Gimme input on your thoughts.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
:D DIE TO!!!!!!!!!!
RECEIVING
T. Owens REC = 7 YDS = 53 TD = 0
Once again, the power of the Threshold Sports Forum to destroy is limitless.
I just bought a brand new pair of $500 Manolo Blahnik shoes to stick in my mouth.
JESUS H. CHRIST
was that JEROME BETTIS running for almost a buck-fifty??? just imagine what Duce would have done
what utter and complete domination. wow. i cant believe that game.
we're #1 on all the power rankings this week baby!
Hats off to the Steelers. I'd jump on the bandwagon, but I hate bandwagon jumpers, so I'll wait until they suck again to start liking them.
*pouts*
I couldn't watch the game!:bawl
Due to living in ohio, I had to sit through the Bengals game. The only compensation I could take from that was watching Dallas lose.
#1 defense (260 ypg)
+ #1 rushing offense (160 ypg)
+ #1 rookie qb
-------------------
super bowl bound
+ Tons of awesome Georgia Bulldogs on the team.
that's right, that's an integral part of that equation. Hines Ward is the epitome of what the Steelers stand for (and my favorite NFL player, too!)
Hines is definitely my favourite player too.
His game goes way beyond the box score.
I'm just enjoying the ride and keeping expectations realistic.
GOOOOO STILLERS!!!
WOO!
It was ugly, but I'LL TAKE IT!
Bettis had a GREAT game again!
Having the Honor of being Born In Pittsburgh and growing up with the Steeler /Dolphin Rivalry (Moms side all 6 Kids from Miami)
and then having to endure the 80's with off the Mark Malone and the 90's (thank god Slash is gone) all I can say is TIME TO GET COWHER A RING! GO STEELERS!!!!! :D
Well, that game with the Redskins wasnt very impressive. I guess any team can get pumped up against a steaking team.
Kinda worried about Jacksonville, only because Ben's been stuffed for 2 weeks in a row now. Still take Ben over Maddox though.
Go Steelers!
Heres the thing, Ben is awesome.. he came out like a secret weapon, but just as in any battle, your enemies will watch past footage, and learn your weak points. The offensive line needs to step up and do a little better protecting their QB.
On top of that, they can't let their guard down. Every team they go against from here on out is gonna be out for blood. When you are top dog, all the little dogs will seek to bring you down.
go STEELERS!!
THAT was too close for my liking.. great way to hussle at the end.. but my heart is still pounding. But I'm glad for the win
11 and 1 baby.. and homefield advantage!
*whistles*
11 and 1 =P
but yes, that game was insane. Roethlisberger was amazing. what i dont understand is why they didnt put Bettis in there. Staley wasnt very productive and Bettis ran well the few times he was in. *shrugs* a win is a win
I wasn't too concerned with the outcome of the game, but I was hoping it'd be a good one. And damn, it sure was! I can't remember the last time I saw a game (outside of hockey, that is) where people were getting so consistently plastered. And a good old-fashioned nailbiter to boot. Hooray for good tough football!
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
I am also a life-long Steelers fan. Being from Harrisburg and watching the steel curtain literally kill opponents turned me into an instant Steelers fan. Lynn Swann was my hero. And watching that defense was nothing short of amazing. They just crushed people. And yes, having to live through the Mark Malone, Bubby Brister, Neil O'Donnell (at least he got us to a superbowl before he decided he liked passing to the opposing defense more then his own receivers)... And then the debacle that is SLASH. That boy was just awful and remains so, but at least for a different team.
But this Rothlesburger kid is the real deal. He plays a smart and intuitive game. And being bigger then many linebackers doesn't hurt either. The Steelers are a very good team with all the right pieces to win a championship. Once Staley and Burress are more healthy I think the Patriots and Eagles are going to be in trouble. My only fear is that Cower will change his game plan once he gets into the championship games. He has a history of ignoring his run game in the playoffs. If they stick to their strengths I think the Pats will have a tough time getting past them. And if they have home field advantage I think they will definitely be superbowl bound!
I also like the Eagles alot and am praying for an all Pennsylvania Superbowl, baby!!!
Go STEELERS!!!!
I have a Lynn Swann story.Quote:

In college Andre Heinz (yes, son of Theresa Heinz) was a teammate of mine on the rowing team. Every year we had a fund raiser called an Erg-a-Thon. In this fundraiser, we put 4 rowing machines under a tent in the main school courtyard and had rowers doing 1 hour "erg pieces" 24/7 for a week. People could come by and donate money and tons did.
One year, Andre and his dad (who was Senator Heinz from Pennsylvania) talked to their friend Lynn Swann about coming to the Erg-a-thon. He did! And he even did a 1 hour erg piece. The guy was still in monster shape!
I was lucky enough to have one of my erg times at the same time Lynn Swann was there and got to hang out and chat with him. He was incredibly nice- in addition to how awesome it was of him to help us out.
Unsurprisingly, I became an instant Steelers fan.
Ugh. Why did you have to go and ruin it?Quote:

Once again.. WHAT A GAME. Roethlisberger passed for over 300 yards.. Bettis had another near-150 yard game, and Barber was kept under 100 yds rushing...
Just ... holy shit. I am loving the steelers. THIRTEEN AND ONE, BABY, WATCH OUT PATRIOTS!!!
Great game all around.
Go Steelers!

So long Superman, This guy is my new hero!
Yeah, I read about that. That's super cool of the guy. It's good to see a pro athlete with class, which is like a breath of fresh air considering the antics of the likes of Randy Moss.
Wow. That's great.
I wish that kind of attitude would be contagious.
