Unbelievable.
The thing that bugs me even MORE is that they are actually offering you to view the video on CNN.
GAH!
They don't show the actual slaying in the videos mentioned in that article. It didn't take me long to find the vid though, and trust me, you really don't want to see it. I still can't formulate a responseQuote:

I'm sure the video they show you on the site is edited, but if you really want to find it you can. I watched it for the first time yesterday and I had a few tears start to well up in my eyes. My stomach just felt horrible, it was so sickening.
I heard that Al Quaida said they did this in repsonse to our troops humiliating the enemy soldiers, but in reality this happened about 4 months ago, way before the pictures.
Kill em all, every single one of em.
where did you hear it was 4 months ago? They said the guy has only been missing since early last month
Ummm, lets just say it takes a while for the media to get what the military gets first.
I saw the beheading. So, so brutal!!
It is suppose to be slow and torturous. It is a brutal way of executing.
If he was beheaded 4 months ago, how was it that he was detained by Iraqi Police in March? He was last seen by a friend on April 9th.Quote:

Ummm, let's just say if the military knew about this four months ago, I'm impressed; they're able to look into the future now.Quote:

Perhaps, Kianier, those who say it happened before are confusing it with an earlier incident.
Daniel Pearl was beheaded many months ago. Nick Berg was beheaded recently. Both were Jewish Americans that had been taken captive. Pearl was 38, Berg 26. Neither deserved the brutal slaughter that was meted to them.
Dammit, I can not write what I am feeling. Every time I try, I cannot coherently say anything.
Interesting, he's bigger than Paris Hilton, this week anyway.
Nick Berg is the new number one search term on the Lycos Search engine over the past 24 hours. The top 10 search requests Web users are specifically searching for regarding Nick Berg are:
1. Nick Berg video
2. Nick Berg Beheading
3. Nick Berg and Iraq
4. Nick Berg Execution
5. Nick Berg Beheading Video
6. Nick Berg Killing
7. Nick Berg murder
8. Nick Berg assassination
9. Nick Berg decapitation video
10. Execution of Nick Berg.
The video showing the beheading of U.S. captive Nick Berg, combined with the multitude of search activity for the War in Iraq and searches for the Iraqi prisoners of war, is generating 12 times more searches than the #2 search term, Paris Hilton.

I'm glad they have. No news article is ever going to truly describe this incident as well as seeing the video can.Quote:

While I don't want to alter the point of this thread I do want to state that I have seen this video and it is NOT something that needs to be broadcast to everyone in America.
While I am all for freedom of the press and I do believe that people have a right to know about what is going on, there are some things that will only fuel anger and hatred in a situation. A video like this is one of those things. America is a land of vices, granted. but it is also a land of opportunity, acceptance (for the most part) and generally we act in ways to make life better for the majority. When shit happens we unite to fix it.
Broadcasting this video to everyone would only fuel those traits that we as a society do not need guiding our judgements. There are extremists here in the US. It is beheading videos like this that get non-extremist Muslims drug down dirt roads tied to racist's trucks. Or whatever else stupid shit they can come up with.
You can't underestimate the ability for hate to fuel more hatred.
Elidia, thank you. I believe you are right...
Damn those fucking people.
